Creating an Ambient Track – Part 1: Pads

Watch

Info

In this first part of a new series, I show how I start an ambient track by building a simple, spacious ambient pad from scratch. This video focuses on sound choice, crafting the pad and laying the foundation for an ambient piece before any melody or additional layers are added.
Using Logic Pro, I walk through my early creative decisions: choosing a synth, shaping the pad, and creating space with subtle movement. This is not about presets or complexity, but about listening, intention, and letting the sound breathe.
